I'm lookin' to get me a J10, and have a choice between an 80' with the 360amc 3 spd auto for $650, not in running condition needs $1400-$2000 to get it back and running. Or a 77' J10 with a 360amc 3 spd auto for $2000, in running condition. I'm mostly looking for advice on if the 77' is going to be better than the 80' or vice-a-versa, any help would be great, thanks. just incase you didnt know:there is a recall on the 80 model j truck for the rear wheel axle assemly,i almost wrecked my truck when my axle assembly disengaged and and back left tire went rolling down the road.its worth getting that fixed before you get your family back on the trail, pass the word to all 80 j-10 owners please.mine is at the dealership now and is getting all new parts , labor free.later
