This is my 1969 Olds 442 Convertible with a 455 This is a pic of me driving my new car. When I got her home I noticed it was leaking alot of oil. Upon inspection the oil was coming from the rear main seal. Soooo.... off the Harbor Freight I went to purchase a cherry picker,chain,and a torque wrench. These are the pics of the motor pull. Sorry that the carb is covered but we will get to that later Yeah!!! Thats what its all about!!! The Carb OFF WITH THE HOOD!!! We got the motor all painted and ready to go back in. New chrome oil pan All washed and waxed We got her all put together just in time for the Cruse at the A&W Taken her out for a spin After the motor was put back in there was NO oil leaking soooo if anyone ever does a rear main seal on these dont use the stock rope seal order a rubber one from yearone.com

Wow, your car looks great! Really nice that it is a convertible.... wow a main seal leak... nice pics on the engine pull and of the crank and all. You replace the seal and put the engine back in yet? I know you will have alot of fun with her, especially with the top down. Come by and check out my 51 Buick sometime.

69 442 4 speed conv was my 1st muscle car back in the day. Always loved that car. Your's looks great!
