tdaniely2's 1982 Chevrolet Citation This is My 1982 Chevrolet Citation X-11

tdaniely2's 1982 Chevrolet Citation The only external upgrade done to this car was the addition of Hella European Headlights and Fog Lamps. Exterior modifications will be kept to a minimum. The stock aluminum X-11 wheels will remain in place.

tdaniely2's 1982 Chevrolet Citation The X-11 is a rare car indeed. The suspension is already finely tuned for performance. HUGE sway bar, wide tires, and beefy struts enable this car to handle EXTERMELY well. In the autocross and rally circuit, the X-11 is still winning races to this day.

tdaniely2's 1982 Chevrolet Citation This is the stock HIGH OUTPUT 2.8L V6 engine. The hood is a FUNCTIONAL cowl induction hood that lets additional air into the carburetor under FULL THROTTLE.

tdaniely2's 1982 Chevrolet Citation After 400,000 faithful miles (and still running), the 2.8L moves out to make way for a Fuel Injected V8

tdaniely2's 1982 Chevrolet Citation This is the GM built 4.9L Port Fuel Injected V8 that will be powering the X-11

tdaniely2's 1982 Chevrolet Citation This is the 4.9L V8 and it's matching 4T60Ehd 4-spd automatic transaxle on the cradle being wheeled into place.

tdaniely2's 1982 Chevrolet Citation The 4.9L is in place and ready for the wiring to begin.

The V8 X-11 runs under it's own power

The engine bay has been refinished in Black Gloss Rustoleum for a hard protective finish. The "V8 PFI" has also been accented with red paint

DUAL 3-chamber flow masters give the car a very deep, aggressive tone

The dual exhaust system is fed by 2.5" inner diameter pipe from the front of the car to the rear.

How much power is that V8 rated at compared to the stock V6? Just curious. Was that engine out of a Cadillac?

Hi there I own a website about the front wheel X-Cars from 1980 to 1985. The site is www.chevycitationforever.net. has information about swaps to technical information and has a forum and online repair manuals. Go check it out... Sly

That is one CLEAN citation. I had an '82 as my first car and i loved it. Great job on the engine swap - i would have never thought of that back then. Keep up the great work. 5 stars Come check out my car
