Sound Sensations Marietta, GA
Sound Sensations has been providing mobile electronics to the Atlanta area for 30 years. We have one location that employs five salesmen and twelve installers. We are ranked as one of the top retailers by Mobile Electronics magazine. We also have several nationally-ranked installers.
The car chosen for the build off was a 1999 Mercedes CLK-430. It was a daily driven car prior to the build. We first secured the necessary sponsors to help out with materials for the build: Dynamat, Streetglow, and Stinger Viper. A team of three installers worked around the clock from day one to complete the system. The entire interior was removed and over 288 q-ft was installed. A new suede headliner and new leather was also added to update the interior.Custom kick panels were made for the TS-C520PRS speakers .The subwoofer enclosure has a heavy duty actuator that allows it to be ported or sealed at the touch of a button. The amplifiers were modified with a CNC machine to allow maximum air flow from the fans mounted behind the amps. The headunit was secured using custom brackets and molded in the dash with a fiberglass trim bezel. Every piece of equipment is secured with tamper-proof screws and metal-machined inserts. The wiring in protected with colored coded expandable tubing and heat shrink and terminated with solder. The installation is top notch and should last a very long time.
