TRANSMISSION
Unfortunately I had to replace my transmission around Christmas 2006. There were two very large holes right through the tranny. A chunk of metal broke off inside and eventually wore through the casing over time. That was replaced with a used transmission with about the same mileage.
So after that mess I decided to take some preventative measures. I installed a Hayden transmission cooler inline with the stock transmission cooler. The trans cooler is right behind the bumper for 100% efficency.

To monitor the temperature I installed a transmission temperature gauge made by Autometer. It took some time to figure out how to install the sensor without drilling into the transmission. Instead I bought some brass fittings and made a "T"

The fluid flows side to side while the sensor sat on the top. Instead of pipe tape I used the liquid form because it eventually hardens.

Once I had all the parts the install was simple.
Now, I bet you're wondering about those gauges...
