TRUNK

Half the trunk space is used for my subs/amp but I still have a ton of space back there.

I got addicted to LED's and the result was I made a frame out of some wood, lined it with clear plastic from 2 Liter bottles and inserted some LED's along the whole length with a switch. (To be painted black) Wired it into the trunk light and its 10 times brighter in the trunk at night. The stock trunk light is an LED too.

I mentioned 4 additional strobes that are mounted in the trunk in addition to the 8 on the STROBES page. You can see two on the bottom of the trunk lid (Don't worry about what's above just yet) The other 2 strobes are mounted under the bumper, you can see them reflecting on the ground.

You can see the wiring for the strobes under the bumper running through the trunk below.

I installed a power inverter outlet in the trunk with a switch (blue). It has a 30 amp fuse inline with the power wire which I could upgrade to 40 amps. That is a lot of current and I would have to be running a space heater or something to draw that much. No need for the 40 amp fuse.

So about that trunk lid. I couldn't mount the neon under the bumper due to the exhaust and clearance issues. So I mounted it on the trunk lid which turned out to look pretty sweet. I also put a set of fog lights on each end of the neon with some dual blue LED accents.

I was at New England Dragway in Epping NH at least a dozen times during the summer of 2006. Each time there was at least one person left at the gate at the end of the night after breaking something. One person I tried to help and all he really wanted was more light. I didn't have the trunk fog lights ($10 on E-Bay!) at the time but now I'm ready for anything!
