LED TAIL LIGHT CONSTRUCTION

I got the idea off a few people on maxima.org, but they had a totally different style. I wanted to do it differently, instead of the 3 or 4 horizontal rows like most people did, so I went for a diagonal column look. With the help of kzoosho and BLACKonBLACK98 I was able to do what I needed to to. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Everything but the LEDs was bought from Radioshack. I cut the boards using a chop saw, it made it real quick and easy :)

I used tape squares to represent each Super-flux LED on my broad to layout my design...

My first design (seen above) didn't match the lines of the tail light assembly too well so i had to change it. The modified pattern looks much better and fits the lines nicely.

Both Inner and Outer boards for the right side are complete.

Back of Inner tail board, looks pretty clean for my first LED job.

I attached the wires and some connectors to make the install cleaner and easier.

I have a feeling I'm gonna need to shorten those wires tho

Finally got to mount them in the assembly (only did 2 today tho)
I used some black silicone sealant to hold them in place,
soon the lenses will be on and they'll be mounted on the max :)

I am hosting a spring maxima meet and track day for CT maxima owners. Saturday April 18 . The plan is to have everyone meet on saturday morning 9am at the Dunkin Donuts on Washington St. in Middletown next to the CT Beverage Mart. Make sure you go to the right D&D because there are two on that street. We'll get some coffee and donuts and then drive as a group to Lebanon Valley Drag Way. Anyone can run their car. If you have any questions about what you will need to race your car just let me know. Right now I am in the process of contacting all CT owners on Cardomain and CTMaximas.org to generate some interest, so hit me up if you wanna go. Should be a great chance to learn and get ideas from other maxima owners as well as a fun day of drag racing.

Very Nice. I'm thinking about organizing a CT Maxima meet. I'd like to have people meet at a dunkin donuts for coffee and then have everyone drive to lebanon valley for a day of racing. Let me know if you might be down for that. I will be contacting the rest of the CT maxima owners on cardomain to see how many people might be interested and if it looks good I'll set a date and location.
