1986 T Type Turbo Regal V6.
As of 4/3/2008 its resting in the garage with my C5 corvette.

At a younger age, I was very fond of the 85-88 Chevrolet Monte carlo SS. These cars had a performance look to them except they really lacked the performance. Later, I've seen these all black cars lurking around on the city streets, never parked but always moving. Finnally I found out what they were. The Buick Grand National. I've always wanted one of these cars but could never find anyone willing to part with one. about 7yrs later I found this T Type regal across the bay for $1500. It had bad valves seals, needed the turbo rebuilt along with poor interior and crappy idling.
The Buick Regal T Type cars are pretty much Buick Grand Nationals with differences in the interior and body trim. this is a 3.8 Liter turbo V6 powered car that I purchased last year. This is my 2nd turbo car, the other is my 99 Z28 camaro. It's interior was in poor shape and im the process of restoring it.
The guy who sold it to me didn't really put much car and effort into it, just drove and had fun with it, no maintainence. I Started off by ordering a rebuild kit for the turbo. That was a pretty easy job to do and tackled it within 2 days. I then obtained another mass air sensor, map sensor and vacuum lines to fix the idling characteristics.

The engine has a spun bearing, I'm going to remove the engine and get another longblock and have this one rebuilt.
The only exterior features I've added to it so far were the GNX fender louvers, Trans Am black honeycomb wheels along with an aftermarket autometer boost gauge. I will add more pics and progress as I go along.
