Hey there! I'm Sara! And this beauty here is Ol' Red, the love of my life! This car is very very special to me. My Grandpa owned her for a long time and had her rebuilt and running clean. He was the second owner of this classic. My Grandpa died back in 1996 and the car sat down at our family shop until may of 2005. My uncle and family moved up here from Texas and brought the two cars with them. Stabled in the shop with Red was a 1954 Ford Custom which is still sitting in my Grandmas garage. I have wanted this car from the time I first laid eyes on her in 1998. From then on I begged my uncle to let me buy her from him. It was always no. So when they moved up here I contenued to beg. So one night the family was over at my house and my uncle was there and my 16th birthday was coming up. I again begged my Grandma and my uncle to let me buy the car, even if I had to pay for it for the rest of my life. I had heard word that they were going to sell the car. I started to cry and begged more. My Grandma then grabbed me, shook me with all her 64 year old might and yelled "shut up about the car! We were going to suprise you for your birthday! We are giving you the dagum car!" I literly fainted and cried. I was so happy! And so the following week we trailered her to my house. The car was given to me, but it was my job to get her running so that I could drive her. The brakes had to be replaced and the transmission rebuilt and she was good to go. I was overjoyed. So her radio didn't work, so I sang. The speedomoter doesn't work but thats ok, we just cruize. The gas guage stays at half a tank all the time, full or empty. And I'll admit she's left me stranded many times. But I love this car and I hope to keep her running for years to come.
Her first day in Arkansas, lived in Texas all her life.
