My 1968 Slant 6 270 Dart

Zippercdrr's 1968 Dodge Dart

I am the 4th owner. My friend was the third. He was the one that gave her the nickname "Delphine" after the Dodge brothers yatch, "S.S. Delphine" which was named after their daughter.
The second owner had taken her, and dropped her to the ground (2" clearance). An estimated 1/8th inch of metal has been scrapped from the bottom due to this. He also rear end some one, throwing the front bumper slightly asque. Shame really, spoiling such a pristine car.

My friend raised her up, and has done some engine work, but hes heading back to school and could not keep her.

TO DO LIST:
V8 Lower A Arms, Torsion bars, V8 Leaf springs
*Performance exhaust and redo header back for a duel exhaust
Paint and Body work
Change the Differential from the 2.76 stock to a 3.23, or preferably a 3.55

HAVE DONE:
Replaced the 38 amp Mopar alternator with larger Delco-Remy 100watt
*Changed distributor from points type to a Pertronix electronic distributor-(Update) I've had 2 fail on me. Had a bad rebuilt distributor though, but I'm not going to try to replace it till later on

*NOTE: Just got a set of used Hookers Super Comps for $175.  But it turns out upon closer comparison that it was not hookers, and that it was probably for a B&E Body, sence the headers rubbed my auto trannys shifter

That is one sweet Dart!! I think it's really cool that you left the leaning tower of power between the fenders and didn't replace it with a V-8.The color, wheels and stance are killer !! I rated you 5***** FOR A VERY SWEET RIDE! Check out my '63 if you get time and give it a rating if you'd like.

Nice car, I like the rims. You did a good job dressing the engine. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the slant six, it is virtually bullet proof. I gave you 5*. Keep it between the lines. Take a look at my 69 Monaco convertible when you get a chance. Please leave a comment & a rating is appreciated. Laurence
