I would like to thank all my friends at car domain, and you know who you are .I have wanted this honor  , for  a long time i had perty much given up . i gave another update and the next thing i knew every  body started nominating me. This is the best xmas present . I hope this GTX is a inspiration to all shade tree mechanics , and do it yourselfers look what  anybody can do,and if you stick with it. I cannot wait to do my next upgrades .merry xmas and a happy mopar year.    PS the way i painted the top of the   car  is  hot rod black . then i put a barb wire pin strip along the top body line to seperate the hotrod black , and the  flatblack  The very bottom along the rocker panel body line is gloss black .this gives it the look of both worlds hotrod black ,flat black, gloss black, and i like it it is my own design, for blades car in the movie  blades evil     step sister margaret.

This GTX has a MONSTER 440 powerplant. It sets of car alarms almost daily. Its packing a purple Mopar Performance bump stick. To top the beast off, is an VICTOR Intake and 850cfm MIGHTY DEMON. Six pack hood was added later. This car has two hoods two choose from.

Update : 07/14/07
Suspension Rebuild
With the upgraded power plant sitting between the fenders, the vehicles stopping power was greatly reduced. So, a suspension rebuild, and brake upgrade was in order.
We purchased new suspension parts from "Just Suspension" to upgrade the handling. "C" body Tie-Rod ends with solid AirCraft aluminum adjusting sleeves were also purchased. Heavy duty aluminum strut-rods will also be installed. Upgraded torsion bars have also been purchased to handle the extra heft of the 440.

New Parts and Old Brakes

The old brake shoes fell off!

The top torsion bar is one of the new 1.16" monsters, the bottom is the old .88" bar the factory installed when the car was new:

Update : 07/26/07
The suspension rebuilt has been completed. After many long nights , the suspension and brakes are done!

Update : 07/29/07
I entered the car in the local car show called the "Fortuna Redwood AutoXpo". My car won the peoples choice award out of all the other vehicles in the non-judged portion of the car show!
AWESOME!!

Update : 10/20/07
NEW Rear End! The 440 was just too awesome, the poor old rear-end couldnt handle the abuse from a Mopar Big Block. Here is my new 8-3/4 after paint:

Update : 12/25/07 - Front sway-bar
Here are the pictures of the new front sway bar I installed today, much bigger than the factory bar, the rear bar will be installed next!

Update : 01/20/08 - Rear Sway-bar
We now have front and rear sway-bars installed, handling is improved even more!

Thanks to everyone who voted me top Plymouth!!!

More updates to come! Look for new body work and paint in the near future!

turbo's and AWD is fun but there is no substitute for displacement. The sound, power, and just overall feel is awesome! AWD drifting for the win for sure, but rwd burn outs from your 440 have got to be god like. Thanks for your support for SOTW with comments, votes, and stars! Much appreciation yo- keep in touch.
