Also, LISST has donated money this year to the FRIENDS OF KAREN charity, one of the best kept secrets among charities. Friends of Karen pays the bills of families of terminally ill people so they can stay home with loved ones in their final days and not have to worry about work and paying the bills. It's a fantastic charity, just like Make-A-Wish, and I urge any and all of you to do SOMETHING this year to help people less fortunate than yourselves.
Here I am, on behalf of LISST, presenting a check to Nancy Mariano, Regional Director of Friends of Karen, for $500 at our last LISST meeting. Special thanks to LISST member Dan L. who spearheaded most of the donations for our Drag Day back in July. Dan's hard work allowed us to raffle off many prizes to raise money. 100% of the profits of this fundraiser went to charity. Thanks again Dan!
