I did the blue light mods on my guage cluster, shifter, dome, map, fog, window, airbag, key, and the passenger lights. Did it with the help of slvrhondaeater aka Josh. Thanks alot man, you rock!! I was getting tired of the stock orange color of the interior and wanted the lights to match with my truck color. It took about four hours to do everything. Here are some stock pictures of guage cluster, shifter and head unit And now the new stuff!!!!! Dome and map lights Fog light switch, blue when the fogs are off and white when the fogs are on Key, airbag, "on" and "off", and window switch light Guage cluster, consistes of taking out 10 stock orange leds and adding 10 blue leds Shifter lights: Cup holder lights, drilled four holds and placed four blue leds in an X pattern to light up the cup holders. We tapped into the shifter wires to allow to cup holder leds to dim with the stock dimmer Wire taps for the cup holders tapping into the shifter lights Pictures of all the new blue lights

Debadged with fishing wire and some gloves. You need the gloves or the wire will kill you fingers!! Just did a sort of sawing motion and they came right off. I used WD40 to get off all the big goo that was left. Then, I applied some hard wax. Finally, windex did the trick to remove what was left. Very Smooth!! I left the Devil's Lake sticker on to show off who I bought the truck from. Here is the tailgate: All the badges: After debadging, I thought the sides of the truck looked too boring, so I decided to black out the two door Tacome emblems. The chrome compared to black on blue. I taped off where the old badged used to be so that both black badges would be in the same spots. The finished product. I used 3M automotive double sided foam tape. Painted them with Krylon Fusion gloss black and Krylon Acrylic crystal clear on top to act as a clear coat. So far so good. The balck badgeds are stuck. Just took off the TRD Sport stickers Blacked out front Toyota symbol. You have to take off the grill, two 10mm bolts, two push pins and then just pull up. On the back of the Toyota symbol, push the two tabs on top and the bottom one will come right off. I scuffed it up with some very fine git sand paper, then painted with Krylon Fusion gloss black and finished it off with Krylon Acrylic crystal clear. It looks a lot better now and I don't have to pay $160 to get the black grillcraft. Left picture without the symbol and the right with the chrome one. This is how you install cam locks in the bed storage compartments. Tools and supplies that you need: 2 7/8" (22mm) Cam locks Electric drill Flat-head and Philips head screw driver 3/4" woood bit A block of about 1" thich wood to drill on. Here is the 3/4" wood bit The cam locks come with this lever: You have to bend it into the shape of a "Z" First stick in a vice. Leave about 1/4" above the square hole in the metal lever. Hammer it down to make an "L" shape Then stick the "L" back into the vice with the longer end calmped down and the bent piece facing you. Next, you have to use a flat head screw driver and hammer to make the second bend. You stick the screw driver under the bent part, right at the top and hammer the screw driver. You will end up with something like this: Now to put the lock in the cabinet, you cut the little lip on the back of the hole. I used wire cutters, but I am sure a knife or a blade of some sort would do the job. You have to drill a bigger hole to make the cam lock fit. Use a 3/4" wood bit. I taped the cabinet to a piece of wood so that I had something to drill on. Then assemble the lock in the hole. I used the 90 degree washer. You can also use the 180 degree washer. The metal lever that you bent has to turn to the left, otherwise it won't work. You just have to position the washer correctly. To reinforece the filter, I taped the two sides that didn't have cardboard alrealy on them. To install the filter: Just push on both sides of the glove box and it should slide completely down. There are two plastic clips that hold the glove box in place. Also, there is an air dampening cylinder that you will have to put back after you are done. IMPORTANT: This mod is only for 2005 Tacomas. 06's and 07's already have a filter from the factory. Hurst T-Handle shift knob: I changed out the fabric in the arms rests on the doors. I used neoprene material, which is the same material used in my seat covers. I used elemental designs' v1se^2 and v4 teklite on all 4 door. Both are very high quality sound deadeners. I also put 3 layers of the v1se^2 on the rear wall behind the subs: Front doors with pioneer 720 components mounted in custom made speaker baffles by MR. Marv: Check out the depth on the 720 mids: Rear doors with v1se^2 and teklite: 2 elemental designs' 11kv subs behind the rear seats: Upgraded battery: Gold stinger wire terminal for my 8 guage speaker amp power wire, 4 guage sub amp power wire and my Hella 500 power wire.
