Mtnsackett's 1993 Isuzu Pickup

Mtnsackett's 1993 Isuzu Pickup My Old 2.6L Engine

I got this truck 2 years ago for free, at that time it had 104,000 miles on it and had been wrecked and the head gasket was blown. So far I rebuilt the head on the 2.6L, add a 3 inch lift, light bar, heavy duty shocks, rebuilt all 4 brake calipers and added new 235/75/R15 6 ply Yokohama Geo Lander ATS tires.

I have been working on the Abs it always shows a fault but no fault in the computer just replaced the ABS Module under the passenger seat and no more trouble codes.

****UPDATE**** 7/27/09
I just replaced both doors with ones off a 97 Rodeo, it now has power windows, mirrors and locks, I also had a custom drive shaft made and new Custom exaust

****UPDATE**** 4/25/08
Replaced the radiator support with one from a Rodeo and painted the engine compartment flat black in preparation for the swap

****UPDATE**** 7/7/08
well I just swapped in a 3.2L V6 and a GM 4L30E 4X4 transmission in to the truck; I still don't have everything buttoned up. I need to have a new driveshaft made and to get the exhaust finished. I am having a little trouble with the Backup lights and Stop lights but I have tail lights and turn signals/Flashers so far everything runs good. replaced the Dashboard and removed all the old wiring for the 2.6 and installed the wiring out of a 94 Rodeo, computers, and Instrument cluster from a 95 Rodeo, also had to modify the parking brake harness to hook up to the original handle in the dash.

****UPDATE**** 7/8/08
Well today I fixed the speed sensor for the speedometer, saved $300; replaced the tie rod ends found out the adjustment sleeve on the passenger side had a 45 degree bend in it wonder how I did that? Moved the 2.6l and trans in the garage not sure what I will do with it, maybe I will sell it piece by piece on E-bay. Found a leak in the trans pan not to happy about that just had it rebuilt. Also noticed that when you put the trany in gear the check trans light comes on also have to ajust the park neutral saftey switch.

****UPDATE**** 7/23/08

well it has been a while but as of today I ajusted the park neutral saftey switch patched in the rear, brake, turn signal, reverse and tail lights. finished running the new brake lines and removed the old ABS pump ass and installed the new one under the hood then bled the brakes

Modified Parts

Motor mounts
E brake harness
interior lamp harness
transmission mount

modified the antilock system to move the pump from the passenger side frame rail to the engine compartment.

Moved some fuel lines that are against the passenger side exhaust

Future mods/ Repairs
