rebuilding a 79 rabbit and swapping to diesel.
First there is some bodywork that needs to be done.
Here is the Diesel donor car:
This car has been useful for its suspension parts and fuel filler (the other car's filler was rusted through) and of course the engine.
To do:
fix inner wheel well.
Fix or replace pass fender
wheel bearing
fix brakes
reinstall front suspension
Remove 1.6l gas engine
paint engine bay
install Diesel engine
Installed a new gas tank
swapped rear axel beams, the other one was real rusty.
and installed new struts all around.
