Sweet71 Project Car
1971 Chevy Camaro RS

MaxtotheMax's 1971 Chevrolet Camaro

Welcome to our Project 71 F-Body Camaro Page. We bought the car in fall of 2006 from a local with 167,000 miles on it. After a winter of sitting in the garage we decided its time for the restoration to begin. Soo much to do and we don't know where to start. These pictures are all original condition that we bought the car in. The car is 1971 Rally Sport Edition with a 350ci engine. Its roof was transplanted from a Firebird, so it now has T-Tops. The Interior is in pretty rough condition; carpet is faded and torn, many ofthe gauges need replacement, and we have a small mouse problem (But not for long). The shifter is in need of a new cable and the rear end needs new bearings. Hopefully with time our 71 RS Camaro will be out crusin the streets in style.

Future Upgrades
-Too much to List

New pictures will be coming soon, Thanks for Visiting our Domain.

This weekend we started to work on center console and the dash. We first pulled out the center concole which is in pretty good condition minus a few cracks and some discoloration. We started with using an mix epoxy and a metal bracket to hold the chipped area. We also striped the paint and vinyl off of the shifter components. We plan on painting them black this summer. After the center console was finished we started to take apart the dash. While taking it out we realized that all the screws tabs were snapped off and the gauges were just sitting in the dash. After removing it we realized that 4 of the gauges dident work. We dont know weather no to replace them or just deal with it. More Updates to come....
