This car is NOT a Vista Cruiser!
Motor w/ new Edelbrock 850cfm
This is me and my dads project car. We used to have a really nice vista cruiser but we sold it. This one is going to turn out a lot nicer.. It was shipped from Cali to NJ rust free... or that’s what we thought. it turned out that there was internal rust under the back windows. Also, my dad discovered that back in the day the tailgate got hit and had a huge dent and was fixed w/ nothing but a lot of bondo. Those problems set us back but now the car is finally done!.. For now. but u know what they say, work on a car is never done! its got a 455 motor and turbo 400 trans.. all the suspension is brand new. and everything in the front end is brand new. we finally put in that 9inch.. and like 2 inch sway bars, that came out of a 67 cutlass convt that we bought.. (Which mom wasnt happy about.) I love driving the cutlass! Its so old. It just has that old car feel and smell! i love it!! There is no cruise control or air conditioning (yet). Before it was done, My friends asked me y i would want to drive something like this.. and I tell them because its something you don’t see everyday. You have seen one camaro one firebird one mustang.. You have seen them all.. (don’t get me wrong i love them) but you don’t see any cutlass wagons w/ custom paint and tinted windows AND RIMS!
The interior Is done!!!. we took out the bench seat (which is in my room) and we put in bucket seats. we also got rid of the collumn shifter and put in a tilt wheel. we put in all new carpet and all the pannels got re-done. we also installed the power windows.
Coming soon... 1970 hood, headers, and 3 inch pipes!!! YAY!!!
Concidering.. converting the car to a 4 speed.
