Update, 11-17-09 I took it to DEQ and it passed with great emissions (I knew it would, much cleaner than the 2.6 engines) We are now Licensed, and insured. I also had it appraised for insurance reasons. The 3:74 gears are low for a TH-350 on the freeway. When Second gear hits, it WILL spin the tires. (You can hardly notice it. handling wise, goes amazingly straight). When the secondaries open up it you CAN feel it it pull !!! Runs JUST AWESOME.....
From 0 to 80 I would run a Mustang and shame them...Mustang boy's You have nothing other than high monthly payments and high insurance premiums..lol
Lots of nickel and dime stuff still to do, I still have no cobalt red on the box to match the cab, We will get there, The Lord willing

It rides pretty dam good even thought I'm still static up front.

2" body drop, 97 Chevy 4.3 Vortec V6 with a TH-350. with 18s.
PPG paints, Black with 97 Chevy cobalt red.
A buddy rebuilt engine. All other work done has been by myself,
including paint.
Suicide doors 4 link (1.5"tubing), Watts linkage, Cantilever shocks, Slam Specialties RE-5 air bags,
On the first try the engine started right up

Loading up for Christine's first Show up in Olympia, Washington.
First time she's seen the sun on her top for about 3 years.

Results of the Show. Top 25
Under Construction

The pic on the right, I narrowed a Ford Explorer 8.8" 3:73 traction lock rear end with 11" disc brakes
The Watts Linkage I built here at home. Steel is what I do for a living, so this is my niche. This pic shows it not done but you get the idea.

Here I have made stiffeners for the 4 link and also I am showing the pads for the air bags that I mounted on the 4 link. On the right is the cantilever for the shocks. I will NOT notch the frame. I think its just plain non-sense cutting the frame and box for shocks. No it will not lay frame but it's close enough for me. I'm about handling and the ride
I have about 9" of travel and I have 0 side movement,
The frame is up. The frame is down.

Nothing is above the bottom of the box, So I will not cut no stinking hole in my box. Mitsubishi called this a truck so it remains a 100% truck.
Besides, with holes in the bottom of the truck, shit will fall out. (Ha ha)

Complete Mustang ll/Pinto Independent Front Suspension with 11" front disc.

Yes, it is a pinto IFS. Mustang also uses it 9" brakes compared to 11"
I found this pic. Who in the right mind would spend $4500 for this?

Up side down. My parts are not billet, and I don't really care
A picture is worth a thousand words

Hopefully I'll get the Cobalt Red on soon.(old pic, still has leaf springs)

PPG paints. Lucky Lee the original owner, a good friend. 3 coats, wet sanded and buffed.
Off the stands setting on the bump stops, 5-1/2" frame to ground.

New to me 1986 Dodge Ram 50

How the truck sounds
How easy does it spin the tires,
