Hey, this is my 1991 Volvo 740 Wagon.
Specs:
engine- 4cyl (non-turbo)
transmission- automatic
drivetrain- rear wheel drive
passengers- 5
I bought this car in September 2006 and it is my first car (I'm 17 years old). The odometer stopped at 370,749 km over a year ago, and with the help of the previous owner, I estimate it's got about 410,000 km.
Recent repairs/maintenace (since I bought it):
brakes (pads and rotors) all around
exhaust from back tip to under passenger door
new rear tail lights (the old ones were garbage)
new spark plugs, wires, and distributer cap
new horn
new alternator
new Bosch starter
new solonoid switch
two replaced fuel lines, (one rubber, one metal)
transmission flush
regular oil changes
replaced gasket under manifold
I really love this car, it is so heavy and solid on the road, with way better handling than most North American cars it's age. I esspecially like it in the Canadian winter here. It can go pretty fast too. I also love the wagon. It's perfect for hauling around me and my band's gear when we go to shows and what not. It's not too bad on fuel either, which is a bonus since I drive 3+ hours a day and I use it to deliver pizzas. The only thing that I dislike is the fact that the parts are very expensive, and most garages don't know these old Volvo's and it takes them hours just to figure out what's wrong, which cost's me an arm and a leg for labour.
