This is Bertha, my 1957 Chevrolet Sport Sedan (4 door hardtop). I drove through Florida on 2/17/2007 and somehow she followed me home. I have begun stripping her down in preparation for media blasting since she has 50 years of crap all over her. She has a little rust, but nowhere near what most '57s have. I need to replace SMALL places in the floor pans, but the majority of the rust is in the rear window frame. I hope you enjoy!

Here are pictures of the trunk area after I cleaned it out and got rid of the old rubber mat that was dry rotted.

Here are the latest pictures. My father and grandfather were down to watch my graduation at Auburn. My grandfather bought a 1957 Chevy new and sold it in 1962. This is the first time he has sat in one since.

And what happens when the grinder gets away from you and runs amok.

Eldon, I did not realize how bad that car was when you got it. You are doing a great job bringing her back. Looks great.

Looks like your off to a good start.....check mine out ....rear quarters, inner and outer rocker panels, both sides....front pan's, floor braces..4 of them, inner rear fender on one side,1 side of trunk sidewall....all replaced... lots of work, but be sure to read the story about the $10,000.00 worth of body work done on the car.... well .it's what they said anyway. : )
