So I am prepairing to drill an tap my wheels (the ones off the vehical), and have to put small wheels/tires on my poor cherokee.  Thought other might want a good laugh.  I will have updates as too how the installation of the PowerTank Mini Monster Deflators go.

So I have worked on my friends 4x4's and built many of different vehicle's in my time, but this is my first jeep. Its an 88 Jeep Cherokee Lorado edition, with a 4.5 inch Trail Master lift with 32 x 11.5 inch tires on 15 inch Modern rims.

I will update this page asap. I have a lot to learn, feel free to chime in with advice. I could use it.

July 30, 2007 ~ I spent the weekend doing some clean up an research on the Cherokee. As well as cut my fenders. I am now looking at a clean way to rip off the fender flares and build a tubed flare.

Update 02.19.08: Since the snow incident, the jeep lost a Transfer Case and has sat in the back yard awaiting a replacement. Hoping to have her trail ready for spring. And hope for a new series of pixs. Keep Checking Back, and keep wheeling... =)

Update 04.04.08: Gota love tax season. I now have a transfer case in my jeep. Not only that, but I have purchased flush mount valve stems & RimRock Rapid Air Deflater's for my tires. Front and Rear bumpers with 2 receivers in the rear an 1 in the front by Rigid Fab. Also a receiver mount winch tray built by Rigid Fab. Finally purchased a Smittybilt XR8000 winch and a Hi-Lift 48 inch jack. Needless to say my jeep is trail ready this year. Only thing I need now is the Long Arm Suspension. That will be next year. Will have pix as the parts come in.
Updates

Update 05.29.08: I should be receiving my bumpers any day now. After a long wait, I should be able to install them by next weekend and set the winch in the tray and get some new pixs. Another thing I found out was the center of my frame seems to be sagging. Its looks as if I will need to be replacing the body sooner than expected. One option I am considering is the purchase of the Sub-Frame stiffening kit. My concern is having one I have to weld on, then not be able to move it to the new rig when I find one I like. May still purchase the kit, then hold on to it till the rig swap. Keep ya posted...

Update 08.24.08:  My bumpers are installed and set up.  It took some time, but worth all the effort.  See page 2.

Update 01.21.09:  Its been a while since I made any updates to this site.  Jeep is still running, passed emissions again with out a Cat Converter.  Luckily, the inspector never looks under the jeep.  Took it to Evans Creek again over the holiday break and found a bunch of SNOW.  With snow 30 inches deap, the XJ did just fine.  We are currently looking for another XJ to move all the parts over too, as this chasis is worn out.

Update 03.17.09:  Nothing new has been done to my Cherokee, as I have been focusing on my new job and my commuter car, the 90 Cabby.  Plus I have investing some time into the Datsun 510 of my wifes.

Update 06.15.09:  Finally had a chance to play in the trails some this weekend.  Took the Jeep to Evan's Creek and ran it thru a couple of easy trails and checked out how difficult it will be to get to the campgrounds.  Were planning on watching the Fireworks from Evan's Creek this year again.  On my way home, I was able to get some pixs of some showing off on the edge of the road before the enterance.

Update 06.18.09:  My new Deflators came in last night.  This time I bought a set of PowerTank Mini Monsters.  There much smaller and I will fit in the location I wanted, which is the slot accross from the valve stem.  If you look real close, you will notice I dont have valve stems.  I took them off and replaced them with flush mount valve stems from Gorillia.  So now I can Deflate my tire with out removing the valve stems.  So this weekend I will be install, should have some really good PIX to show by Sunday.  Below is the link to a PIX of the deflators located on Page 9.

To install these, I am going to have to drill the rim at the location I want them located and tap threads down the hole for these.  Be a long weekend of popping the beads, Drilling, and Grinding away at my rims.

Update 07.25.09:  Nothing New to add.  She still runs like a champ.  I will say I love the Deflators, those things are fast.

Update 10.21.09:  Nothing good to report.  Jeep is acting up, running on couple fewer cylinders.  Unknown reason.

Update 11.11.09:  Havent been putting much time in my XJ.  Soaked most of my time in my 92 Wrangler.  I have determined that I have at least 1 faulty Fuel Injector.  I will be doing the Ford V8 Fuel Injector Upgrade soon.  Hopefully that will clear up my drivability issues I have been dealing with.

Thanks
BTW: Babe was the Blue Ox.

Jeeprules: You still have a long way to go. I am at 247000 (and counting) on the original Engine/Tranny. I replaced the T-Case as it had a broken shift fork on it.
