The story of the car
The car was purchased by my dad sometime late in 1994 for $7,000 Canadian. I pretty much learned to drive on it and used it to get my license. It was old and probably not much to look at when I got it during the end of highschool but it gave me so much freedom to go anywhere and do anything. I then decided to change stuff from the plain boring stock look and pretty much used this car as my project and daily driver. Besides the cold months of Winter I would wash it once a week and give it a wax. When I started College I used to take the bus to get to school and back home since it was cheaper than spending money on gas and parking fees. But I still drove the car on weekends. I got so busy with school and didn't have much time to do all the mods I had planned.
It was early 2004 when my dad was driving the car in the early hours in the morning on the highway. My family was in the car but I was home sleeping because I had taken the day off from College, ironically this was the day of my final road test. (As with Canada's licensing system my first test for the learners permit was on traffic signs and rules, my second test was a road test on city driving and this was the final one where I had to drive on the highway). So there was a snow blizzard and my dad lost control of the car, spun out and hit the concrete divider hard with the back end. Although the car was brutally mangled my dad still managed to drive it home.
As you can see, the back end was pretty much smashed in. The back glass shattered to a million pieces. The frame was bent along with the trunk and rear drivers side quarter panel. The exhaust was twisted. This pic was taken before the car was about to be towed away to its final faith. We had a hard time prying off the rear license plate. It was scrapped for $70.
