this a highly modified 1974 cutlass 442 that i have put a lot of time and money in.I was going to build a 1968 or 70 cutlass but there are all ready to many of them running around so when i found the 1974 it was magic in the makng because i have never seen one till i found mine i do see some around but the ones i have seen are not exactly the same mostly 1976s close but not exact. The engine is 1968 cutlass 442 455 that was rebuilt and punched 60 over, has the big valve c racing heads that where rebuilt and valved, and polished.a set 10.1 comp keith black pistons, a lunati 550 lift roller cam and rockers,a nudluar stick crank. On top is a torker intake and a 750 holley double pumper carb. for the ignition i am running msd 6al box and msd blaster coil. The disrubiator has a trigger window kinda old school but looks cool.Bolted up a trans go turbo 400 racing transmission with shift kit, reverse valve body and trans brake. The convetor that was recomended by trans go that i am running is a hole shot 2700 rpm stall convertor wich is awsome when it launches.I just bought and installed a carbon fiber drive shaft and drive shaft loop. The rear end is a eaton posi 410 with locker set up.When i first got the car it had 40 flow masters on it and 2 inch exhaust. I wanted to put 3 inch pipes on it but they rubbed the coil springs so i ran 2.5 inch pipes and i am running the new flow master super 44 mufflers if you want to hear them i put three new videos on here that really get the sound unlike the flow master web site.thanks for looking and i will keep puting pics and videos up as i progress on the next page you will see all the work that has been done, i recently had to put a new roof on the car because the car had a vinyal top as you can see in some of pics but there was a ripp and the moister ate the roof and had the floors redid.Bad news developed a lower end knock so had to yank the motor and tear down to find out it was a bad rod bearing which also ate the crank shaft nice right lol.Got a new std. crank and clevite bearings and figured since we had to pull the heads and timing componets might as well see exactly what the motor had.I found the pistons to not be 10.1 comp keith blacks like i was told what was there were 8.1 cast pistons and a lunati 318a3lun cam even though the motor does look like a recent rebuild so i order a set of trw racing pistons 10.1 comp and a comp cams extreme energy 284h cam,a 3000 to 3200 stall convertor roller rockers and the cam kit that goes with the cam and did a complete rebuild posting all the new pics .
