Custom stainless steel 3" with Magnaflow hi-flow cat and muffler done by a local performance shop done on 19 April 2007.
At idle, it's a low rumble but not at all annoying. In fact, it's barely noticable. Once you get going, rumble gets louder but not annoyingly loud to the point where it's unbearable. The guys at the performance shop said it sounds almost like a Subaru. It certainly doesn't sound like a 4-banger Civic and it doesn't quite sound like my old six cylinder Maxima with exhaust.
