It has been a while since I have updated this site and some things have changed. The RS 5-speed is sold as well as the IROC-Z. My family is getting older and my son and daughter could no longer ride in the IROC comfortably so it had to go. It was sold and I recently purchased a new 2007 Chevy Avalanche. More room for the family and everyone was happy. I still have the RS automatic. It is now the focus for all the mods that I have ever wanted to do. It recently has had a new fuel pump installed and the suspension continues to be heavily reworked and modified. The fog lights are now gone but the Z28 grill remains for additional cooling. A couple of harsh winters ago my windshield was cracked and that is the next repair to be started and then the interior. New fresh paint will hopefully come around the first of 2008. That's is where I stand as of mid 2007. More to come....

This first page is for my automatic RS. I bought it new in July '91. It's basically stock but with a few minor mods: ADS superchip, K&N airfilter, Accell ignition, 160 degree thermostat, Dynomax Super Turbo Cat Back Exhaust, and a Shiftrite link for the tranny. I have also begun to install the suspension parts on the automatic RS since I sold the RS 5-speed. I have already installed the Spohn wonder bar and the Edelbrock TBI strut tower brace. I have uploaded a few pics of the installs at the bottom of the page. The Spohn lower control arms and Edelbrock panhard rod are now installed too.
I swapped the wheels from the IROC-Z to see how it would look.
In storage for the winter.
This is the Spohn Wonder Bar installed. Installing the bar would have been much easier if Spohn would have designed it so that the mounting holes lined up. I had to elongate the passenger side mounting holes so it would fit. I used an air drill and then a die grinder to smooth every thing out. The picture on the right shows the mounting holes elongated.
Here's the Edelbrock TBI strut tower brace installed. Very straight forward install.
I decided to put the ROH ZS wheels on my RS so I snapped a few pics. What do you guys think? Do they look better on the RS or on the IROC?
