I started building the system in this car because I hated the factory system that was in it. The factory was a bose system with three total speakers. Two 6.5 in the front, and one 6.5 in the hatch. It SUCKED.    But one year later I have gotten near the finish of this project.    (headunit) Alpine CD detachable face, installed in the factory location.    (crossover) Orion 3-way crossover    (Amps) Two 600-watt Kenwoods bridged.......(some say that the amps couldn't handle it)    (front and rear drivers) alpine 6.5 (soon to upgrade to memphis)    (subs) Kicker compVR's 12d's in a sealed box custom made to match the rear (of what chevy called a trunk)    Nothing spectacular but hey it is a whole lot better than what would come standard.

for the headphone effect Chevy decided to put the rear factory speakers right at the person riding in the back seat's ears. (Go Figure}
