NEWS:
--04/30/2007-- "The Trade Off"
'88 Traded Camaro For '84 CRX and parts

--05/01/2007-- 2:00 am "The Sweet Sound of Revolutions"
My Co-Worker and I were up all night tuning the CRX till we got it to fire and run. It was such a beautiful sound.

--05/04/2007-- "The deal goes SOUR"
Turns out the junkyard I got the CRX from has decided that two good motors and transmissions and a near flawless body of a 1988 T-Top Camaro sport coupe are only worth a running 1.5l motor, body of a CRX, Alternator, Distributor and brake drums. The owner went back on his word and told me if I want a transmission I will have to pay for it.

--05/07/2007-- "It Moves"
Well I decided to wash the CRX today, yes I taped off the windshield area, and decided to try and make it move again. SUCESS the car drove in to the garage with little complaint, though I am sure the clutch is bad with the way it still grinds.

--05/09/2007-- "Rear Bumper Repairs"
I got bored last night and found a way to make the bumper stop sagging, and not worry about it for some time.

--05/15/2007--12:00am "Muted Muffler"
So I was bored last night and was drawing the CRX, I'll post the crude sketch later, and was looking at a picture of the rear of the car for reference.... Then I noticed something wrong, I went to the garage with the camera and used the flash to trace the exhaust line back... NO MUFFLER!!! Guess I will have to get a new muffler now.

--05/16/2007-- "Wheeling and Dealing?"
So I ended up back at the yard today and believe it or not the owner asked me if there were any other parts I needed for the CRX, so Friday I will be getting the master cylinder and few other things from him.

--05/17/2007-- "Parts Far All"
U-Pull-It is a great place to look around for hours, search though cars for change, and get parts. In total we paid for our entry and got two bucks but the parts cost me $30. Up till late installing all the parts I bought, so now the Back of the car is now complete.

--05/18/2007-- "Free Parts!!"
Well as planed went down today to the yard and got a master cylinder, and some other items. While installing the master cylinder I removed the after market cruise control.

--05/19/2007-- "Cruise Be Gone"
I removed the wiring for the after market cruise control that was added. That was a pain I had to sit there and trace all the wires to just make sure I did not remove any thing critical.

--06/17/2007-- "New Shift Knob"
I got a free light up shift knob from my girlfriend's dad.

--06/18/2007-- "Clutch Madness"
I helped my friend with the installing the new clutch in his 1990 Eclipse GST and have stated with taking the transmission in the CRX,. All I need to finish it is a Ball Joint separator, or other method of separating them.

--06/19/2007-- "Why is it called a Pickle Fork?"
Happened upon the brand of the shift knob I got from my girlfriend's dad "Pilot" and I bought a Ball joint separator, popped the driver side loose, but the Passenger side is putting up a hell of a fight. I am going to need new a new boot for the passenger side, due to it popping open from the force I was using to pry the knuckle loose, I also BENT my brand new separator, hopefully my friends pneumatic chisel will fix this problem.

--08/30/2007-- "Update Long and in Coming"
So I haven't updated in over two months but have gotten some major bits and pieces done.
1. Managed some rust removal and primed the locations.
2. Pulled the hatch off so I could fix the broken hinge.
3. Had the windshield installed.
I had the window installed yesterday (same day we had the new floors in the house installed, three Vans plus the Stratus, Explorer, Ranger, and F-150, made parking tight) But everything went without a hitch, the window cost me $230 dollars, and has a nice natural tint to it, PPG all the way.

--09/11/2007-- "Minor Work"
Bought and installed a new battery and wiper blades. Also got my timing belt but I will install that tomorrow as I don't have time today with work and all. Hopefully I will have the muffler on by the 14th.

--12/27/2007-- "Up-to-Date"
Well I was going to have the muffler installed today but as it turns out I can't drive the car on the roads due to the 3" of rubber showing on both sides. I will instead be purchasing the fenders and the header panel, then getting oil, cap, plugs, rotor, and wires. I still have to install the timing belt the bolt on the drive pulley is being a pain.

--12/30/2007-- "MSD"
I ended up getting the Plugs, Cap, Rotor, Wires, and a New MSD Blaster 2 Coil; I ended up snapping the positive lead on the OEM one. I also installed the timing belt; I got lucky to pop it off with an electric impact wrench, seeing as I couldn't get enough force to do it with my pneumatic one.

--2/15/2008-- "Road Worthy!!!!"
I FINNALLY GOT IT ON THE ROAD NEW FENDERS AND ALL WOOT!!!! too bad the car starts loosing power after 1st gear if i hit at wide open throttle in first the motor seems to bog a bit and it REALLY bogs onth shift between 1st and 2nd :P. Ah well i am picking up a B18A1 somtime after payday next month.

--2/18/2008-- "plugs go boom"
Well the NEW plugs I had goten for the car didn't stand up to the MSD Coil apparently it blew out the ends of 3 & 4. 2 was misshapen and 1 acctually was fine. Put the old plugs in drove the crap outta it up and down the raod no issues, go figure put the Champions in and she runs like a champ.

--2/20/2008-- "Fenders Fenders Fenders"
I bought brand new fenders the 14th just to put them on and havethe issue with the plugs, not only that the fenders left about a 1/2" gap between them and the door. I took the new ones back ($260 USD for the set) and found a complete front end for $100, Had 5 cars to choose from, one of my color and the white one were in the best conditionn. Got the header panel, driver side - side marker and passenger fender and mirror from the white car. Got the Driver side fender, a extra hood, extra bumper, and turn signal from the blue one. Going to go back as soon as theowner has some free time and get the speedo cable from the blue one almost had it out when I had to leave for work.

--2/23/2008-- "Minor Bits and Peices"
I've swaped the hood out for one that has NO rust on it and is all blue, YAY, it's only problem is that some one mashed the locking pin. So I used a bar to straiten it out as best I could it works but is a pita to close all the way. I then washed the cars, so they look a little more presentable.

--7/18/2008-- "On The Road Again"
The CRX blew out the Chamions now, so i am onto some Iridiums and i am missing 5th gear :P. Oh well the car is much more rewarding to drive then the Stratus, yay manual... okay now that i got that outta my system, turns out there is a another CRX just like mine (except black fender and header panel and no "CRX" on the side) down in the junk yhard.

--5/2/2009-- "Off The Road Again"

So  it seems that I am unlucky enough to have locked the transmission in 4th gear (this was after the brand new transmission fliud i put in leaked out) so  I have decided to work on the Corolla for now. as soon as I get it running I will be focusing on geting the Stratus squared, minor problems have been croppping up here and there the biggest onwe was needing to replace the brakes (just the calipers, rotors, and pads.) After the stratus is in top form again I will be focusing getting the B18 in the garage ready for swap time. I'll keep you posted on the Crolla's page for info.

--5/3/2009-- "Up for sale"

I have decided that I wish to sell the CRX she has been good to me but I need to focus on other things right now and this car is not one of them it has been a hadr decision but after weighing all my options I can not afford this car or the build. The CRX will go for $500 by it's self or $650 with the B18A1, with matching transmission, sitting in the garage. The B18A1 will go for $175 by its self. If you are interested you are welcome to check my ad in Craigs List.

 --5/14/2009-- "Sold"

So the motor has been sold and I have a buyer that is acctually a coworker of mine for the car so I will stil get to see her daily. I will probably also still be working on it for her as parts need replacing, though she has enough mechanical knowledge to do the regular maitenence herself.
