So, here's my 2003 FX-35. I have the tech package, and the sport package.
Certainly, I had to adjust the stereo. The stock Bose system runs four 6.5" 4 ohm paper mids, and five 3" paper full range drivers. I replaced the door speakers, and made custom bent black acrylic tweeter pods. Take a look! All these ran off the stock power. I designed simple 2nd order crossovers with a Zobel network on the woofs. In the doors, I have Dayton Reference 6" 4 ohm woofs, and in the tweet panels I have Dayton Neo tweets. For the center, I added a single Infinity 3.5" driver.
After that, I removed the stock Bose amp/sub, and hijacked the signal (purple/gold wires) to run a Dayton Titanic off a Zapco AG-1000.
The AG 1000 didn't quite do it, so I went with a VLX-400 on an RE XXX.
Next I hacked the NAV System and ran an Archos AV-500 full of music and video.
Check out the custom console rack for the MP3 player.
