A lightweight Renaultsport Clio 172 Cup, built for the Renaultsport Clio Cup race series in Europe.
Features lowered uprated suspension, wider track, and modified bodywork. I have added 17" OZ Superleggera alloy wheels and 215-40 Hankook tyres. Also a Pipercross Viper Carbon induction kit and a KTR Racing Stealth straight through 2.5" ss exhaust system gives the engine a chance to breath a little better, adding a few extra bhp.
0 to 60 mph in about 6.5 sec and has a top speed with the 17" wheels of about 150 mph.
The car is great fun to drive, but a bit scary at times as it has no anti-lock breaking system. But I love it with a passion.
Makes me smile every time I drive it.
With a reduction in weight of some 89kilos to improve performance, the lightweight track-focused Clio 172 Cup has lost the spare wheel, air-conditioning, automatic xenon lights, rear headrests, side airbags, ABS and CD changer. On top of that thinner glass has been used, modified sound deadening material and different seat covering.
