I love Chevelles! Ive had this one since 94 and have done many modifications to it. Current motivation comes from a numbers matching 283ci small block that spins to the moon . It has a "Dontov 30-30" Crane cam. Flat tappet-solid lifters with .488" lift on both intake and exhaust really turn up. A Mallory dual point distributor is sparked by a 50,000 volt coil and never misses to 8000 rpm and more. An aluminum Torker single plane intake directs fuel from a 600 cfm Holley to a set of camel hump heads with screw in studs/guide plates, high-performance springs w/ new locks, retainers and 1.94" intake and 1.55" exhaust valves. A turbo 350 trans with a 4500 rpm stall converter runs to the original 12 bolt rear, housing 331 gears with a Auburn posi-trac differental.(390's or 411's are in the future plans). It runs strong and handles great with a full suspension rebuild. New polygraphite bushings, larger swaybar, springs & shocks(all four corners) and all new steering components including inner and outer tie rods, center link, drag link and new pitman arm make it tight and drive like new. Disc brakes on the front and drums out back work well. It still needs work and parts but its getting there!
