This page is dedicated to my current 240sx. The Project begins...(This page will be broken up into individual sections of the car as soon as recent pictures are taken.)
The following is my current 240sx, a 1991 Nissan 240sx Hatchback. When I look at my current 240 and compare it to my last, it is a huge improvement all around. When I began looking for another 240, I did so with the same mind set as with the first; As Stock As Possible!! Where is the fun in owning a car that the previous owner did all the work? What do you have to show for yourself?
It was extremely hard finding a Hatchback that was in good condition near my location. When I saw a slightly modified 240, within my price & traveling range, I had to jump on it. I was not going to make the same mistake twice and purchase another car sight unseen. I took the trip up to Wisconsin and checked the car out. Besides the little odds 'n ends that needed fixing, like turn signal bulb replace & power locks fighting me, it checked out. Engine was freshly replaced with another, lower mileaged Ka24De (>70,000), Underbody was mint seeing it was a Florida based car that never saw a winter, 'till this past. Test Drive was fun, the suspension work spoke for itself, it drove and handled like a dream, such an improvement over my last. We kicked it out a few times on the test drive to show what the welded differential was capable of, and what the car itself was far. I could not have made a better decision.
I think that is enough background for now, let us get to the good stuff...
Black 1991 Nissan 240sx Hatchback:
Mmmm... Minty Fresh. Cleanest Ka you've ever seen?:
I really like having a car that was meant to be a DOHC car, unlike my last. Everything is where it is supposed to be, with no misc. wiring harnesses scattered around the engine bay, and such like that. This Ka is out of a 1993 Coupe, which was swapped after his friend did an Sr20 Swap. The engine was stated to have around 65,000 miles on it when I bought it, which means it has a little over 70,000 currently; and boy does the cleanliness show. The EGay Strut was upgraded from, it is rubbing up against the Valve Cover & is shaving off it's letters.
Custom Layed Black Interior:
I like the work the previous owner did with the interior. The fabric shown was also used to relay the Front Seats & Door Panels, but the door panels will be re-done. I was going to strip my interior, as I did with my last from the Front Seats Back, but this interior is just so clean, I have decided to keep it complete.
The Following is 1/3 of the car's only "Problems":
Somehow, the Fender/Door had substained some damage prior to me purchasing. Along with that included a Rusted Hatch (Replaced), its an SE Model what do you expect?, and a Cracked Dash, also understandable. Since these "issues" are common, they did not discourage me from purchasing the car.
