This chevelle has been in the family for over 20 years starting with both my uncles then my brother. Got it from my brother when I was 17. Believe it or not I traded him a go-cart for it. Started restoring it in 2001, basically starting with a shell, no motor, trans, fenders, doors,or hood all rusted or missing. Thanks to my dad we got it on the road in about a year. He helped me put a 307 small block with a th350 trans just to get it running, he didnt want me to have a bigger motor with to much power for my first car but and after having the worst bad luck with about 4 tranmissions in 2 years, one a b/m crate trans with zero miles that blew up (stall convertor gave up). I upgraded to a th400 with a street fighter stall convertor. Then we put a 11:1 383 stroker with keith black pistons, scat crank, crower rods, air gap rpm intake, holley 750, hopefully around 425-450hp (dyno soon),I installed a 12 bolt with 3.73 gears and a power trax posi. Next on the list is a five or six speed and zr1 corvette wheels should have the wheels in a few weeks. Going with a pro-touring theme.
