This could be my last post on this ride.
A combination of circumstances like a new job which requires frequent long distance drive and occasional ferrying of VIPs from overseas had left me with little choice but to switch to a car that provides higher level of comfort, safety and.............prestige? this could only mean a European marque which I have narrowed down to something from Stuggart or Munich. After giving a lot of thought I opted for the latter since I have driven this brand on several occasions (they were not mine, of course), and liked the sporty feel compared to the 'other' make.
To cut the story short, I posted my white GC8 on a local online car marketplace hoping to find a new home for this great machine. And immediately, several calls came in asking for details and viewing oppotunity. Not bad for a 17 year old car!
After test drives by several potential suitors, an unlikely buyer came forward who only took two days to make up his mind. After several days of transferring funds and paper work, the car was finally his..........just like that.
So, on 17 April 2015 the GC8 officially changed hands and the new owner drove it towards the sunset. It was a sad day no doubt. I still think about this car every single day!
