10/19/07 *** Update, Hey I just got the Internet up and running in my new Apartment in Ohio. I am living here while I go to college at Ohio Technical College. But anyway on to my car. I installed a CD player so I can actually listen to CD's instead of AM-FM transmitions. so I'm happy about that. but the bad part is is that it's not drawing enough power to run all of the speakers so I have to get an amp now. But anyway I have decided to Buy a Top-end Kit from edelbrock this will boost me to around 475 Horsepower. so When I get the $1200 for it I will be sure to install it and start romping on everyone in the streets.

8/21/07 *** Update, Hey haven't updated in a while so thought I should. Well my water pump blew about three days ago. and I'm counting on my brother to get it fixed while I'm on vacation in Las Vegas. But hopefully that will get fixed and also my cousin said he would install the water pump and try to figure out why the car won't start when it gets wet. :( bummer eh? but when I get back I'm Leraving for college then there I'm getting an Edelbrock Top End kit for it to boost it up to 450 Horsepower. *Drools*

7/05/07 *** Update, Ok my plan of pinstriping is falling through, I decided on something a little more "Racey." Well anyway I am going to continue on painting it black and instead of the pinstiping mural I have decided to put white stripes that will accent the body lines. Also I have a little "Special" Flamesjob I am planning and it will be intriquite. and I am not reveling whats making it special but it will be kick ass. oh and a special thanks to my Vo-Tech Teacher Mark Phister for the inspiration.

6/06/07 *** Update, I bought some Thrush Glasspacks. I then converted my car to True Duals and made the pipes come out right before the rear tires. Also I want to put square Chrome tips off of the rather bare exhaust tubing. oh and by the way, it sounds beautiful.

6/03/07 *** Update, I Fixed The Antannea, well Kinda, The wire wasnt long enough soo I ran it through the inside, temporary fix, Also My Muffler Fell off Today, so I will be replacing the Exhaust with Dual Straight Pipes this weekend.

This is my 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis. I bought it for $700 from a friend. It came with only 75,497 Miles on it. I am using it as my daily driver and should soon be one wicked Merc. Right now it has 160 Horsepower and 280 ft. lbs of Torque out of it's 5.0 EFI engine, But that is soon to change. I plan on doing the following:

Lower Two Inches
Dual Straight Pipes coming out of the Side of the Car.
Eaton Supercharger
K&N Filter
Install Posi Gears
Widen Tranny Gears
Paint it Gloss Black
Add white stripes to accent the body lines
put "special" Flames
Put Black Leather Seats in it
Fix the Damn seatbelt!
Fix the Damn Antenna!
Perreli P-Zero's
Drop some Weight
American Racing Rims
MSD Ignition
H/O Cam
H/O Heads
and a lot more.

hey Josh, sorry I dont know a whole lot about lowering kits, but check out GrandMarq.Net..there's a section for just suspension in the Tech area. I know a guy in OH cut his spring s a little bit and it did look pretty cool, I saw it up close when I bought my block/crank from him. his name on there is Mercmarquis. you can send him a PM and see what he says, he's pretty knowledgeable.
