Chapter One: A New Home
We join our our heroine's driver (myself)in Washington, D.C. at 3am on a brisk late February morning. The young man waited anxiously for his bus to arrive, his back-pack weighed down with text books and a set of license plates. Soon he was on his way; he read through his assignments in silence wanting to take advantage of the quite bus while he could. Around 8 am the bus came to a rest in New York City but this young man's journey was far from over.
The lay over was just long enough to visit the famed Time Square and snap a few pictures.

10 o'clock finds our driver well on the way to his first destination in New Haven, Connecticut. Finally he arrived just after noon. And there she was, sitting in the driveway just as he'd pictured.

The young man popped the hood to take a look at the heart of this beautiful machine.

The inside was clean too with a dynamic JVC head unit so driving could be enjoyed with some favorite music.
After exchanging a mere $500 for her and attaching registration plates our driver and heroine set out on the long journey home. The thrill of getting to her new home and the joy from feeling of being loved once again set our heroine in good spirits. The voyage passed without incident and shortly after nightfall the excilerated but exhausted pair arrived home and retired for the night.
The morning brought with it an oil change and moniker for the beloved V6 sports coupe now resting in the back yard of a small home just outside the nation's capitol. She would now be known affectionately as 'Slippy'. So named after the unfortunate condition of her automatic transaxle that delivered power to the front wheels.
Sadly this joyous union of man and machine could not last more than the weekend. The young man had to return to school and Slippy was not yet ready to pass inspection and would have to be left behind under a protective cover.
