-----------Old news updates.------------

July 26th, 2005 I attended the v6z24.com bash this past weekend in Kalamazoo. I ran a 14.94 @ 92.8mph in the 1/4 mile. I also won 3rd place and people's choice in the car show.

May 10th, 2005 I got the 3400 installed and it is finally running well. I had many problems with clogged injectors and idling issues. Now, all of the work is worth it. The car is much faster now. I will be hoping to dip into the 14's with this setup. I hope to be adding pictures soon!

March 2 2005 I finally bought a 3400 engine. I am currently pulling out my old 3.1 with 160K miles and I will be installing the 3400 within the next two weeks.

September 19 2004 I sold my 1993 Z24 last month so now I will rework this page to fit my 1992 Z24 that I just bought. Look for many updates in the next few weeks.

July 12 2004 Well, since my last update I have replaced the heads on my 1993 Z24 and it is running well. That car is now for sale because I bought a 1992 Z24 with a 5-speed transmission for $300. Check out the pictures on page 7.

March 22nd 2004 Been a long time since the last update. I did a lot of work on the car over spring break. Turns out I will probably have a new engine soon. Check out page 5 for more details.

September 28th 2003 I just returned from V6z24's first annual bash. We had plenty of J-bods there! New pics of the bash are on page 6!

May 6th 2003 Well, I added many pictures that I took this past weekend. My freshman year at Iowa State is almost done. Hopefully this summer I will get some work done on my car!

April 9th 2003 I finally brought my car back to school with me. I can now tear up the streets of Ames.... (Yeah right!) Well, I got my FFP underdrive pulley and installed it along with a new crank seal. I really like the power gains past 4000 rpm! I will hopefully be getting a FDP cold air intake to replace my Warm air intake that I built. I have plenty of plans for the summer to come back to see my progress! I will add a few pictures here and there!

January 26th 2003 It's been a long time since I have updated my page. My christmas break was productive. I fixed a mad oil leak that I had. (rear valve cover gasket) I also tapped a sensor into my transmission pan for the gauge that I installed 2 months ago. Today I also purchased an under-drive pulley from www.fastfwdperformance.com I will have to wait until summer to install it. I have also been researching the use of carbon fiber for various parts in my car. I will keep you updated! Have a good day!

December 4th 2002 Time for me to start an updates page. During Thanksgiving break I installed the gauge pod with the volt meter and the transmission temp gauges. The volt meter is working, but I havn't gotten around to putting the temp switch in my transmission. I also tried (22 hours to be exact) to install my roller rockers. I got them in with the adjustable studs and it didn't work. Go to page 5 for the full story!

hey you have an awesome looking and running cavi. I'm glad to hear that the GM 3400 makes that kind of power at the wheels. The 3400 swap is exactly what i'm looking at doing. If you have any advice or comments for me just drop me a line on my board. Once again awesome car.
P.S. Just wondering when and where the next Z24 bash is going to be?

very nice ride man. i dig the older cavs. as for upgrades on the 3400, on this website http://60degreev6.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=45 you can get ported upper and lower intake manifolds. i can't see it, but if you have a MAF sensor in there, i have heard of people polishing and porting it. good luck.
