This page will be dedicated to the powerplant of this project, the Ford Duratec V6. This engine was chosen because of it's strength, power potential, and low weight.

Originally, the Duratc 30 (LS variant) was going to be used but, after further review, the new 3.5L will be used. The amount of work will be little different than if the 3L wer used. The cube volume of the engine is not significantly larger than the earlier and smaller displacement 3L. The extra displacement is a big benefit as well as the DAMB valvegear and a pent roof chamber.

I do have some pictures of the engine lightly disassembled that I will post at a later date.

How are you going to get a GM tranny to mount up to a Ford engine? Will the gearshift be able come through the tunnel you will have to fabricate - in the right location - so you can shift the thing like a normal car? Just some thoughts I had bro... I think a Miata driveline with a mad turbo setup would be easier...
