Worked from 10am to 6pm. Lots of stuff finished and some more started =) The rear mounts for the control arm are now complete. It actually took a long ass time and I am glad we're done. They sit perfect.
We started with a steel plate... drilled 2 holes and stuck 2 bolts through. The bolts were welded to the underside of the plate. I then drilled a hole on either side of the bushing where the rear mount would sit. This was so that the plate would sit flush to accommodate the bolt ends.

I then welded the mounts. We even welded on the brace from the MKII floor pan. It's the piece you can see that is welded behind the new mount. That should help distribute the stress from that mount a bit. Man did we go through alot of wire.

I filled the hole from the battery tray removal...

A couple friends cut the steel for boxing in the frame rails...

It may not look like much but a ton was done. I am almost done with the floor pans... only 2 more beads to run! Lots was cleaned up and we had a great time... Here's a pic to prove it :D
