My 88 S-10 reg cab 4x4. I pretty much just have it for off-road use. Its a 2.8 4 speed with 3.73 gears. The rear spiders are welded and a home made posi lock was installed. It has 4-31x10.5x15 Techno Excavator's on unilug chrome craigers, a 4" body lift with the T-bars jacked and 8" rear shackles. I also have an 8000lb Warn winch waiting to be installed and although there is no box on it in the pics, I do have it. I just need to repair it before it goes back on. Here are a couple pics of what it looks like right now....
Here's what it looked like when i first took it home.....
....and a few pics of what i've been doing since I got it.
My home made posi lock.
I picked this up from a buddy of mine. 8000lb Warn. I can't wait to install it and go get stuck!!!
Here's a few updated muddin pics from 2007.
I'm currently in the prosess of a D30 SAS from an 87 YJ. Going with SOA front and rear, probably with blocks in the rear to match the height with the front. Planning to use a Toyota rear end just because I have one on hand with 4.10's already in it, and it will withstand 33" super swampers with welded spiders, but will probably change to an 8.8 ford in the near future to match the wheel bolt pattern with the YJ's front. Upgrading to 4.10 gears should also help with the upgraded tires (33x12.5x15" TSL Super Swampers)going on 15x10" steelies.
