ok here is the story. I originally got my first rx-7, which was an 85 gsl-se as soon as i graduated from the military. 8 hours later i died in it. 85mph head on into a saturn 4door. dont worry she was fine. total loss for me though.

so i started searching and searching. i found a couple but none as good a shape as the first. played and tinkered trying to fix them and learning as much as i could about the rotory world.

found this one behind an old mans house. picked it up for $300. After 3 days of putting it back together, I drove it home. About two years ago, my buddy (who was the owner of this white one pictured) calls me to tell me his house burnt down. "sorry for your loss man. need any help moving whats left?" "yes" he says, "get this rx7 out of my driveway. its been sitting here since i lost my licence two years ago." so the journey started. here we go!

this is pretty much how i got her. not a pretty sight at all.

it was a cold couple winters for her.

the window motors were shot, and he couldnt get them all up.

spring comes around, snow melts, work starts.

starting to clean up.

notice the mold on the paint, the interior was even worse. ewww!

stock 12a, not much going on yet.

Got a job at the local mazda dealership. score for me. bad for mazda. even worse for paycheck!

found some free fiberglass from the owners sons wrx (thanx matty) and taught myself to do fiberglass. still not that good at it yet, but practice, practice, practice!

looks alright from far away, lotta smoothing to do yet.

stripped the rotten interior out. in the process of starting all over.

first with the front end, now onto the inner door panels.

still stock for now but kip, the head mazda tech, is helping me with that

cant tell here, but that is a hand polished 83 alt. looks much shinier in person.

started my new dash, had to get the pld one out.

this is the start of it.
