468 cubic inch pontiac motor with edelbrock 87 cc chamber heads, March serpintine belt set up, 1000 cfm carb on top of a Edelbrock intake, factory style ram air exhaust manifolds, (all engine components are jet hot coated, or polished, with all nickle finish fittings & braided hoses for a clean look, 3" exhaust from there back with X pipe and spintech mufflers, power gilde trans with trans brake, 373 12 bolt rear, QA1 coil over adjustable shocks all around, 4 wheel aerospace disc brakes, 15" weld lightweight wheels for racing with mickey thompson ET streets or drag slicks, plus 17" torque thrust IIs with BFGs for the street. Last October in preperation for the Moroso 5 day race Groton's Performance in Seaford DE along with a lot of my help and desire for perfection installed a roll bar in the car, also replaced the factory bench seat and column auto shift with factory bucket seats and a Pro Bandit shifter. The work and modifications never end. There is always more to do.
Update: Beginning 10/14/07 I have begun the installation of Accel EFI fuel injection system. Also, I am narrowing the rear slightly to allow for more room between the quarters and frame so the drag slicks wont rub anymore. Engine is also getting a electric water pump, polished timing cover, new intake manifold, distributor, custom fitted radiator hoses, and a few more goodies along the way.
See the link below for my history with this car.
Performance Years Pontiac was good enough to post it on their web site a couple of years ago. Quite a number of changes have taken place since then.
Also below is a pic of the engine compartment.
