*Attention*Since i do not delete old pages, you will be reading old stuff first,so if you want to know whats recently going on just forward to the last page or you could just read all the way through. This also means there may be some things that i say that arent true.ha ha

Oh and by the way.The "bragging rights" section was just something I put.All i did was calculate the possible outcome for my car with a 400 on a drag calculator. My car has never been down a track. One day they may change.

--------------------------------------------
Well this Is my new old car.I bought It April 12th 2007, and boy do I love It!:)I have been looking for a car for quite some time, and I have finally found It. It's a 1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring, but not an ordinary Sebring Its one of the Sebring's with the special "Sundance Packaging",Which had the following things(that I know of) that made It different from the ordinary Sebrings.
-Canopy vynal roof(or halo roof):
-Plaid and White leather interior:
-Special Sundance decals:
-Moon style hubcaps:
-Pin striping on the grill and rear lights:

When I first got the car I naturally had decoded the fender tag.Looking through It there was one code. It was "A77" and came up as "charger spring spring" ..I laughed when I first saw that, but I later found out that In 74 there was a Dodge Charger that came with a special "Spring Package".I think maybe the idea could have been transferred over to the Satellites the same year.

Heres some pics of the hood.

From what i have found out, this either has a Road Runner hood or a GTX hood. the original color was a dark emerald green,Im not sure If that coror was model specific but If anyone knows please contact me.

This car is "rare" because 1974 Sundance's were only made one year.(actually only half a year ,because all satellites stopped production mid year)NOW! I stress the word "rare" because I know what your thinking,no I do not think I have a goldmine, but then again, all of my research has kept bringing me to the conclusion that these cars are rare and hard to find,I don't know how rare but they are. The Sundance packaged Sattelites came In two colors, they were painted Aztec Gold Metallic or Spinnaker White,I have the Spinnaker White. It has a 318(5.2 2brl.)and 8 1/4 rear end.

My Car came with American Racing rims, but I would like to get some crager ss wheels,a huge pair for the back.

Im 100% sure It has the original SunDance Decals.
The quarters are the most visible problem.

Theres little bits of rust,on the corners of the doors, deck lid,and common areas that are found on any classic car depending on body style..
The trunk Isn't really rusted, except the corners where the quarters rotted.

I have a 73 Road Runner with a numbers matching 340 - I'm about 15 miles down the Black Horse Pike from Williamstown. It seems you did your homework and you have a rare edition car there. Keep it original! Best of luck with it. Mike

Wow, what a unique car. I have been into Mopars for 30 years and have never heard of these. I always like the unique packages Mother Mopar offered in the dark ages of the '70s! I will add you as a favorite and look forward to seeing it completed. Do you know if Phoenix Graphics reproduces the Sundance stripes and decals? If they don't already, I'm pretty sure they can custom make a set for you given enough highly detailed digital pictures. I love the car and it's options, so it's good to see that it will survive under your care!

Hey I was just checking out your pic's again and I noticed that your vinyl top stops at the rear quarter windows.Mine goes all the way back to the end of the drip rails I think that means mines a 3/4 top??

Looking good. THat is about where I am on my car. Got the suspension done and we are going to do some major surgery on the firewall before I can paint.
