Original Video setup (Which was later changed to a Carputer)
Playstation 2 in Glove box (Also replaced with Carputer).
Carputer:
Bye bye iPod!
I call it the AltiMac mini haha. And the entire previous setup was completely removed since the Visor monitor was not HiRes but just plain RGB video.
The folks at MP3Car.com gave me some really wise information a few months back about carputers and I've been hooked since. Believe it or not, they cost relatively the same as an AVIC Z3 and can do everything it does and soo much more so I jumped on it even though I already have a factory Bose Navigation system. I mainly added this setup for my iTunes Library, Playing Videos, surfing the net while on the road, and OBD II diagnostics (still trying to find a good interface).
The Mac Mini is the perfect size computer and as you can see below I fitted it in the factory cd changer space which is a standard DIN sized unit and added 80 Gigs of music/video on a custom fabricated tray to make theft almost impossible. SEE THE THREAD HERE!

I also custom fabricated a bracket to hang the Xenarc 7" Touchscreen monitor on the headliner just above the sunroof controls and can quickly go back to stock in less than an hour. Then I crafted a custom fiberglass shroud and painted it to match the interior and I must say it came out pretty good for a rookie.
Also, the factory Bose system was more than adequate for me in the midbass department but it really needed something and what I fabricated here really does make a tremendous difference.
First I started with a Line Output Converter to tap into the speaker line and added a Rockford Fosgate Punch 200.2 AMP and 2 Punch 1 10s to add some more oomph to the already clear sounding system. I went with this setup strickly for size and I don't want anything too overpowering and taking too much space in my trunk which is the exact reason I went with my Custom Fabricated fiberglass enclosure to house all of this in the sides of the trunk.
THE ABOVE SUBWOOFER SETUP HAS BEEN ENTIRELY SOLD!
Now here is the long awaited upgrade courtesy of Elemental Designs

I started by purchasing a 13Av.2 Subwoofer and a NINe.1 Amp and my plan was to fabricate a custom molded sealed enclosure to house this 59 pound behemoth. Since I had to wait for this to arrive courtesy of UPS, I started by upgrading the power source under the hood and you can check it out on Page 5 - Under the Hood.
First off, let me start by showing you all how BIG this speaker really is...they refer to the new 2009 Nissan GT-R as Godzilla but I think this speaker will give it a run for its money in the naming department.

Yes that is a Gallon of Fiberglass Resin next to that thing!

The entire build of the enclosure can be found here: 2007 Nissan Altima and the 13Av.2
Here are some completed photos thus far of my build, I will update with more pics once I do the finishing touches.

I did light the trunk with 51 LED's which was purchased here: Oznium.com LED Ribbon
Well it has begun all a few weeks before SEMA and I want more so I'm going back to the drawing board and redesigning the entire trunk to incorporate a ported box. I added a Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 Advanced Interactive Signal Processor & OEM Interface and even an Elemental Designs NINe.4 Amp but I am still waiting on a good set of speakers to replace the factory door speakers. The 6x9 subwoofers in the rear deck will be removed to allow more bass to enter the cabin since the trunk is extremely quiet when the back seats are up. I will have pics up and an entirely new build thread for the next generation enclosure and this old one will be sold if anyone would like a sealed one for a really good price.
Bye Version 2 and Hello Version 3
Rear deck speakers removed and a new Ported enclosure now lies in the spare tire well with ample hidden storage. The enclosure is 2.2 cu ft and tuned at 38 Hz with Dual Square Ports in a "Smokestack" fashion which doubles as an amp rack. I needed room for expansion so I also added the NINe.4 Amp and I'm waiting on 2 sets of Component speakers for the doors. I will let the pictures do the talking:

LATEST UPDATE January 21, 2009
I wasn't feelin the amp rack previous design so I decided to revise it into a new "Stackable" design and I must say it came out pretty nice and allows me to expand 1 or 2 more amps if the need arises. The subwoofer amp is now sitting on top and I have even easier access now to the battery compartment below:

The entire build thread is listed here: http://forum.edesignaudio.com/showthread.php/13av-2-and-2007-nissan-67578.html
Another Addition: the Viewsonic 24" External Video Monitor and Playstation 3 "HD Entertainment is HERE!" Guitar Hero World Tour is also added for that extra fun. Disclaimer: Both the Monitor and Game system is only in the car for shows...since this a daily driver I cannot risk it getting stolen!

NOTE THE EXCELLENT POWDERCOATING JOB ON THE BARS...ITS TEXTURED BLACK DONE ESPECIALLY BY TEMECULA VALLEY POWDERCOATING.

The Nintendo Wii is next and possibly on the other side with a full organizer for the Wii Wheel, controllers, games, etc.. It will definitely be done "IN STYLE!" I think I will call it the AltiWii.
UPDATE: March 9, 2009
So I finally got my baffles and here come the Elemental Designs e9.65i's...The rear doors were added first and the midbass is unbelievable and these speakers can reproduce 40Hz very well. Here are some shots of the rears with the coaxial mount tweeters since I didn't have anywhere to put them. The picture next to it is the crossover network which is mounted under the armrest in the door so I can at least have easy access to it if needed and I must say I wish I had somewhere visible to put it because it looks far too sexy to be covered up, I'm thinking about making a plexiglass armrest now just so I could show it off...even the speaker itself with its Carbon Fiber cone is just soo beautiful.

UPDATE: March 10th
The front stage was finally installed and I must say it looks and sounds unbelievable and I did the same thing as the rears by mounting the crossover network under the door armrest so I can get to it if the need arises. The tweeters are flush mounted in the sail panels and there is a slight gap on one side due to the sail panel being curved but I'm gonna take care of that later when I upholster the sail panels (I typically don't like the look of plastic). Enjoy the pictures:

March 24th, 2009 UPDATE:
Components are completed finally with 2nd 4-channel amp added and they are both bridged to 150W to each door and I must say that my review for these is tremendously good. Quite simply, these speakers are DA BOMB and the midbass is excellent...it sounds like I have 8" subs in the doors and the mids and highs are soo crisp that they can be heard from about 3 carlengths back with only the front windows down and I mean clear as in every spoken word being heard. Here are some pictures of the new amp rack.

Version 3.2 update August 30th, 2009
Well after getting sick of the monitor weighing down my trunk lid soo much and no real good place to add speakers in the trunk for MIDS/HIGHS, not to mention my amps all overheating with the stacked design, I decided to change it up yet again and shift the smaller 2 amps to the sides and the big amp behind the monitor which is nicely down below. I still kept my pillars which makes a really nice spot to throw stuff underneath like my PS3 or even a Wii or both and I did add fans but they really are not helping to keep everything cool in this heat here in California so I may try this setup out for a bit and redesign it yet again in the future to really make it stand out. My plans are to add speakers to the trunk lid and possibly a smaller monitor or 2 or 3. Enjoy the pics.

Note the Sub amp behind the monitor. I added the pillar touch to keep the theme going and to keep it all secured. Theres about 2 inches of space on top of the amp so its being cooled very effectively not that this amp was ever a problem. The smaller amps were overheating because they were bridged and on the bottom of the Tower of Power haha.

Closer shots of the amps and PS3 which is nicely tucked in there. I am concerned with heat still on the left side amp since I have the PS3 there under it and the 600W Power Inverter under the PS3 which is still generating quite a bit of heat. The right side amp seems to be fine for now so version 3.3 might be in the works real soon. Will keep you posted!
More will be added soon...Stay tuned for details.
