Sold!! I haven't changed any information below because I lack the time but just check out this beauty and say congratz to the new owner, she drives like a dream..

Welcome, this is my 1977 Skybird the car I always dreamed of having. I got it at 4/13/2007 (at Friday 13th) from a guy in Hollywood who wasn't interested in restoring it. Actually it seems like no one has never got any work done on it. It is an all original car with matching numbers and everything is still there. Amazing, and this car was just standing around waiting for someone to care for it. The motor in this car is the Oldsmobile 350 V8 that was used instead of the Pontiac 350 in California and in high altitude areas. Interesting about the original motor is that it passed smog after I bought it, before that it hadn't been smogged for about seven years, impressive. Few really appreciate the rareness of the Skybirds and many try to rebuild them as Trans am's to make them look like the smokey and the bandit car. I'm going to restore this car to its original shape over time, I hope to be close to done in spring of 2008. I have started by cleaning out the motor and fixed the broken intake, replaced the tranmission mount, now I'm mostly doing body work as you can see on the pics it is certainly coming back to shape!

Check out the pics of the beautiful car and what needs to be done.

These are pictures of the motor before I cleaned it, since there are no chrome parts in the motor it still look almost the same except for the sand and filth, it runs a lot smother though, I still need to get inside the transmission for a complete clean.

Before and after body work pictures. The bodyshop I went said that it was impossible to fix this dent, but using tender, care and a sledge hammer there was no problem to bend it back to its original shape. So I kept my original fender and it didn't cost me anything. I still have to fade the color a bit here to give it that vintage look that the rest of the car has.

These ugly scrapings on the rear fender are finally gone and the bird looks like new again

Yep, like new!

Some cluts of a previous owner spilled cola on the carpet and never took care of it, I had to remove the old carpet, treat the rust and then add a protecting vinyl coating, now it is like new again!

Original rims! Probably worth more than the car. And of course the Skybird itself.

With just over 200hp this is an impressive muscle car that will soon be like new!

The Grand Am next to the Skybird is also mine, what can I say, I'm a Pontiac guy!

I also have one of these cars and also purchased it in 2007. I have restored it from the ground up. They sure are a rare car, as I have not seen too many of these around.

nice work man! unfortunatly the car left for the body shop to be completely re-done and has been gone ever since my last comment. I have not heard from the shop doing it but I stressed it that they should be in no hurry to get it done because I dont have room for it at home with my other car all apart in the shop. A buddy stopped by the shop and said he saw it with new quarters hung, and that was about a month ago. So I guess they are slowly getting work done. For me its just free winter storage!
