This is my 2006 Saturn ION Redline.

Bought in August 2006, this car has got to be one of the most underrated and (more often) unknown cars around.

I bought this car for a helluva deal... 6 disc in-dash MP3 player, sunroof, foglights, OnStar, power everything, 17" wheels w/ 215/45 Dunlop SP 9000 tires, Redline package which includes the Redline bodykit and spoiler, Recaro racing seats, 2.0L Ecotec Supercharged engine, and much more.

The heart of the beast...

Best part about this car is the suicide rear doors. Keeps the coupe profile, but try putting a kid in a carseat in the back without them.

Insurance on this car (for a 23 year old male) should be outrageous, but it is considered a sedan because of the 4-doors. Hell yeah!

This car turns a lot of heads, mostly because people don't know what it is, or they have heard of one but have never seen one. The engine is rated at 205 hp and 200 lb-ft torque. Many dynos have proven that number significantly underrated, as they are pushing 215-220 hp at the wheels, STOCK!
Working and supporting a family, it is hard to afford mods, but thanks to tax season, I have since installed the GMPP Stage II. The GMPP Stage II takes it from 205 hp and 200 torque to 241 hp and 218 torque. Best of all, this upgrade is still covered under the original warranty. I have also installed a cat-back Magnaflow exhaust and a home-made short ram intake.

Best 1/4 mile track time completely stock at 3100 ft was a 14.9 at 96 mph.

This car is a bit hard to launch so I had some weak 60's. Since then I have got the Stage II, I'll be taking it to a track in Norwalk, OH, which I have heard is one of the best tracks around. I'll let you know what I get.
Visual mods include a Saturn lower mesh grill screen, stubby antennae, and tinted tail lights and front corners.
Before and After

Some more....
I plan on keeping this car around for a while, so of course more mods are on the way. These include the full cold air intake from K&N, header and downpipe, 60# injectors, 2.6" pulley, GM dual pass intercooler endplate, TorqueForward front strut bar, rear sway bar, traction bars and engine and tranny mounts(gotta put that power to the ground...), lowering springs, multiple gauge pods for the A-piller and steering column, hid's for the headlights and foglights, and whatever else I might be thinking at the time.
Here's some of the pictures from my local scene in Tucson where I used to live.
And here's one to some of the coolest car guys in the world...

Take a good look, this is what you'll see if you race me...
