1976-Cutlass’s Oldsmobile Cutlass

    • Currently 3.0/5 Stars.

This is my BABY, a '76 Cutlass Salon with a V8 350 and 4 bbl. carburator. I met her for the first time 13 years ago, and we've been faithful to one another every since. Amazingly, I paid only $1750 for her. Unfortunately, she wasn't my first. I previously owned a '77 Cutlass Supreme, but that car didn't even compare to the '76 Salon. The '76 was previously owned by a 16 year old boy that had received the car as a gift from his grandfather. However, the boy didn't want the car. Instead, he wanted a Volkwagen Beetle. Imagine that! So, I purchased the vehicle at that time.

The Body style was cool for that time,it's great to see that people like your self still working on the mid 70s rides.Good job I like it.

i gots one similiar, its a '76 brougham. has that mahogany interior and vinyl top. it also had that body side molding, i had it removed when it was repainted, that along with the BFG 22560R15 TA's made a huge difference in appearance. i put the FE2 option suspension on it, along with a 455, TH400, 3.42 posi. you got a screaming deal on that car!

Man, what a nice 76 Cutlass. You ride is SWEET. I am now more inspired than ever to get my 76 in some decent shape. I just get it running mechanically. Now I have a lot of body work (e.g., dented right front, rust, etc) to deal with. Any suggestion as to where I might find a (1) drivers side door (electric windows), and (2) rightside front panel (fender), etc. I appreciate any help you can give.
