Mercedes 190E 2.5-16V Evolution2 One of 500 made for the European market
First and foremost I bought my car the way you see it, a fully finished evolution2 body kit on a 1987 2.3-16V. This is a replica built on a w201 2.3-16v. (2.3-16V only 2000 made for USA)

This is my 1987 Mercedes Benz 190E 2.3-16V Evolution2 Replica.
My car started it's life in the Bay Area as a smoke silver 16v. It was sold in 1996 by it's first owner. The 2nd owner sold it to his friend who did the evolution2 conversion in 2002. the 3rd owner who did all the work got tired of the car and later sold it back to his friend (the 2nd owner). He got tired of the car also. And on Aug. 2006 I became the 5th owner.
This is how the Benz looked when the last owner had it. The items modified by the last ownerS. The evo2 kit as you see, 18x9inch BBS wheels, KYB ajust a shock front and rear, DTM style exhaust, Removed the stereo system, Sony hidden stereo, Yellow inserts on the front seats, yellow MoMo steering wheel, H&R springs for the 2.3, Non Hub-centric One inch spacer in the rear wheels and hub-centric quarter inch for the front, and Tint.
In the hands of the last owner It had no grille. It did have a metal grille from Home Depo that was rusted. I assume it was chrome a long time ago.
As you can see the engine was in need of some TLC. The valve cover paint was peeling. Everything looked ugly and dirty. But at the time I didn't care at all. I just wanted the car in my ownership.
Heres a picture of the car when the last owner gave me the one and only key to the car.
I purchased this car without my parents knowledge or consent.
My dad didn't like the car refused to help me fix it or pay for it. So i bought the car and was hiding it at another house for 5 long months under a car cover.
I could hardly do anything to my car during the first few months of ownership. I couldn't even do a oil change; because I was hiding the car from my parents. Cause and affect I hardly drove the car anywhere.

I did get around to replacing the stupid rusted BBQ grille with a new S600 grille. This grille was like the cherry to the ice cream. It was the missing item to complete my car.
January 2007 I got tired of hiding my car and just parked it front of my house and admitted to the ownership.
My goals are to return the car To OEM Look outside and inside.
As much as i want the OEM look I will be adding my own little flavor to this car. I will be updating a lot of new stuff. I'll be rebuild engine,tranny, and rear end dif. Airbag suspention will be added as the car. The roads are fucked up here.
No turbos or super chargers will ever touch this car. I will rebuild the engine with new and stronger parts. Update the CIS fuel injection with EFI and MSD ignition.
And last repaint the car Mercedes Black.
