A Beauty in original condition. My second 1985 Riviera. I had a brain hiccup in 1991 and traded my first one in. My "classic" rests in the garage and I stretch her legs every few weeks. They don't make 'em like this anymore.
Orig paint & Chrome Road Wheels 7/2004
At 114,000 miles her paint is checked on top, but shines like it did in 1985. The vinyl roof is perfect and the navy interior is unfaded. Her original chrome road wheels were removed (2/09) and replaced with NOS rims & NOS wire wheels to add to the repro wide whites, 80s style. Some of my. original pics remain with the new pics.
With NOS Rims & Wire Hubs 2/2009
I recently gave up on the rear leveling system. The air compressor gave out 6 mos after the relay & shocks were replaced. I switched to a manual air shock kit and have the fill valve hidden behind the rear license plate. It's not NOS but I've wasted enough $$ on that damn self leveling system. It now sits correct, as it did in 1985, a bit too high though. The front end will be addressed soon, so I can lower the backend.
Whoo Hoo! 2/2009
I also bought the car with the intention of painting it white, but so many people have praised the non-metallic tan. It will stay tan. I'm searching for a shop to repaint the body fillers. Most don't want to be responsible to replace vintage fasteners, ect.
**Update found a shop and had the the fillers repainted. The front diver side one is weak. The shop owner offered to repaint another one if I located one (they gave up.) I scored a set of NOS front, left & right on eBay. Life is good.
