Still stock... edited photo (Groovy Accent)
ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent My garage 4-6-07. First cosmetic mod, brake calipers turn blue. Spring cleaning will be done, removing couches and other junk from the other half of the garage. You might be able to see that I have removed the rear seat backs to save weight as I almost never carry more than one passenger.
ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent Masking the calipers. Had to be done one at a time because I was just using the cars supplied jack. Did the passenger side calipers Thursday and finished the drivers side on Friday. It was snowing on Friday the 6th of April in Cincinnati! Used a kerosene space heater to keep the garage warm enough to paint.
ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent Yep, the spray kind... I cleaned the calipers with wire brushes and wiped them down before painting. It was suggested that I use this brush-on kit but I saw another guys brakes who used the kit and it didn't look as nice as the spray.
ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent I just did three light coats and it turned out pretty smooth and even. The spray can was only $7 compared to $17 for the brush-on kit. No overspray problems. Spend time masking well.

ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent My wonderful roommate helped me mask the engine cover for painting. This took several hours because we masked all the letters and numbers and the Hyundai emblem. Thats my rommate's hand.
ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent Finally... all masked up.
ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent The time spent masking the letters was well worth it! Thank you Dave!
ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent Just used the rest of the $7 can of caliper paint to do the engine cover :)
ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent 4-10-07 AEM intake arrives and is immediately installed. No numbers but it does feel like the engine responds better and you can definitely hear it breathing. If you plan on getting one... don't worry about it being too noisy. Some people complain about this but it sounds good in my opinion and it really isn't that loud.

ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai Accent Hope you all like it SO FAR.. waiting for coilover suspension kit. Will be going turbo. The 06+ Kia Rio has the same engine and chassis so I'm trying to figure out if this coilover kit will fit my Accent.
coilover kit This turbo kit for the 06 Rio fits the 07 Accent
Turbo For now I'm saving money and waiting to see what else comes out as far as engine performance parts. On the same site as the links supplied above, there is a strut tower bar for $75 that SHOULD fit the Accent. Hyundai offers one for over $250.. lame.
ThWind81's 2007 Hyundai AccentJust had to throw these up real quick.. I'm goin on a trip for a few days but I hope you like and I'll answer any questions anyone has. It's an Infinity BassLink.
