Here is my 1987 Camaro Z28 335 TPI Stroker, which at one point was a 305 TPI (190hp, 295tq). I bought the car in April 2001 for $250 with a stock 305 TPI that had a spun rod bearing. I have since restored the entire car with the help of my father, brother, and others. I have rebuilt the motor in our garage, installed a new tranny, redone the suspension and brakes, and I currently restored the whole interior, and other micellaneous things needed for a restoration. Everything from new fenders, doors, quarter panels, hood, tailights, markers, headlights, emblems, gaskets, etc. The bodywork & paint was done by Matt at Chickens Customs, along with help from a few others. It is painted GM 81 Bright red with White Pearl ghost flames that have Gold Pearl on the tips. This site shows everything from day one until present. I had originally planned just an engine rebuild, but the car has slowly turned into a street/strip/showcar.
So far the car has won "Best Of Show" at Heberts Car show 2004, 2nd place on Camaro/Firebird day at New England Dragway 2006, and 1st place at Commerce Car show. It has been featured in the CamaroSource 2006 & 2007 calendars, and also appeared on page 20 in Car Craft magazine December '05 issue.
On Sept 15th 2004 I brought it to New England Dragway for street night. This was a full weight/street style run. Hoosier QTP's, no tuning, no weight reduction. It was my 2nd time to the track. The thing ripped off the line even with the old 2.73 gears. But here's the slips-
